Promotion of the 'Gijang-gun Youth Dream Startup Support Project'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Gijang-gun is stepping up to support young entrepreneurs' startups.
On the 15th, Gijang-gun, Busan, announced that it will promote the 'Gijang-gun Youth Dream Startup Support Project' to support youth startups.
This project aims to promote startup activation by supporting young entrepreneurs who challenge new things, and was selected in 2020 as a regional-led youth job project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Gijang-gun will select 5 creative and passionate young startup teams and provide them with startup support funds of 10 million KRW, startup space rental fees (up to 400,000 KRW per month, supported for up to 2 years), and various startup education and consulting (including market channel support).
The application period is from the 12th to the 21st of next month, and applicants must be youth aged 39 or younger who wish to start a business within Gijang-gun.
A Gijang-gun official said, "We hope for the interest of passionate young prospective entrepreneurs with excellent and creative startup items that utilize the characteristics of the clean area of Gijang-gun," and added, "We will strive to create a stable startup environment for youth."
