Geumcheon-gu Supports Beauty Companies' Entry into the Chinese Market
Geumcheon-gu and KOSMES Recruit Companies for Participation in the 'Shanghai Beauty Expo'... Applications Open from January 15 to February 5 on the Small and Medium Business Corporation Website
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting companies to participate in the "25th China Shanghai Beauty Expo" from January 15 to February 5 to support local companies in developing overseas markets.
The "25th China Shanghai Beauty Expo" will be held for three days from May 19 to 21 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in China. About 3,600 companies related to cosmetics and beauty from 40 countries worldwide will participate and showcase various products.
The district will select six small and medium-sized enterprises in the beauty field located in Geumcheon-gu and support 80% of the booth rental fee (one booth, up to 9㎡) and installation costs, and 100% of one-way transportation costs (based on 1CBM) and interpretation fees (one person per company).
Companies wishing to participate can apply online through the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency website (www.kosmes.or.kr).
The district plans to announce the final selected companies on February 17 after document screening and marketability evaluation.
Meanwhile, to support local companies' overseas market development, the district signed an agreement with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency in February last year. At this Shanghai Beauty Expo, Geumcheon-gu and the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency plan to establish a Geumcheon-gu pavilion and fully support companies' overseas marketing.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "I hope this Shanghai Beauty Expo, boasting the largest scale in Asia, will be an opportunity for local SMEs to establish marketing strategies for entering the Chinese market and to develop export channels."
