Bolivia Travel Alert Level Downgraded, From Travel Caution to Travel Advisory
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 14th that it has lowered the travel alert for Bolivia from Yellow Alert (Travel Caution) to Blue Alert (Travel Advisory).
However, the 'Isla del Sol' near Lake Titicaca, where a Korean tourist was found murdered in January 2018, remains under the existing Red Alert (Evacuation Recommended).
This adjustment was made considering the stabilization of the political situation, such as the decision to hold a presidential re-election in Bolivia on May 3 this year, and the improvement in logistics movement for fuel, food, and other supplies, leading to a more stable situation and security.
