Jeongeup-si Revamps Community Security Council to Realize Jeongeup-style Welfare Services
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 14th that it held the '8th Local Community Security Representative Council, Working Council, and 3rd Eup-Myeon-Dong Council New Member Appointment Ceremony' at the city hall's main conference room on the 13th.
As the terms of the members appointed in 2017 expired, new members were selected and appointed with a focus on experts.
The appointment of members to the local community security council is based on Article 41 of the Social Security Benefits Act and the Jeongeup City Local Community Security Council Operation Ordinance, aiming to realize Jeongeup-style welfare services through the establishment of a public-private cooperation system.
On this day, the city presented appointment letters to a total of 274 members: 21 members of the Local Community Security Representative Council, 23 members of the Working Council, and 230 members of the Eup-Myeon-Dong Council.
Subsequently, the members elected Jeong Sook-hee, director of Jeongeup City Nursing Hospital, as the president of the Local Community Security Representative Council.
They will serve for two years until the end of December 2021, undertaking roles such as proposing and reflecting policies during the establishment of the city’s local community security plan, evaluation of social welfare corporation facilities, and recommending external directors for screening.
