60-Year-Old Dies While Eating Choco Pie at Nursing Home... Police Investigation Underway
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Heo Midam] A man in his 60s who showed symptoms of respiratory distress while eating a Choco Pie snack at a nursing home died, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon on the 14th, at around 3:40 PM on the 13th, an employee at a nursing home in Gyeyang-gu discovered Mr. A (67) complaining of respiratory distress and called 119 emergency services.
Mr. A received emergency treatment including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from the 119 paramedics who arrived after the call and was transported to a nearby hospital, but he ultimately passed away.
It was determined that he suddenly showed symptoms of respiratory distress while eating a Choco Pie snack during the nursing home's recreational time.

The police reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage inside the nursing home and found no signs of criminal suspicion. They have summoned nursing home staff to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
