Closing Remarks at New Year's Press Conference, President Mentions Responsibility... "Pledge for More Communication with the National Assembly"
[Asia Economy Reporters Ryu Jeong-min and Jeon Jin-young] President Moon Jae-in, in his closing remarks at the New Year's press conference held on the 14th at the Blue House State Guest House, said, "Unlike last year, we separated the New Year's address and the press conference, and I hope this served as an opportunity to resolve many of the public's questions. Please see this as a sign of our determination to increase communication with the people even more."
President Moon stated, "Looking at our politics, as reality is difficult, communication, cooperation, and unity are truly urgent, but reality is going in the exact opposite direction, so as president, I cannot help but feel a heavy heart," adding, "Of course, I believe a considerable part of this lies with the president as well. I do not intend to shift all responsibility."
