"Prevent Electrical Accidents Before Seollal Holiday"… Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Launches Special Safety Management Activities
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Electrical Safety Corporation has launched special safety management activities to prevent electrical disasters during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The corporation will conduct special safety inspections on approximately 14,048 fire-vulnerable multi-use facilities nationwide, including traditional markets, large supermarkets, department stores, hospitals, and lodging facilities, until the end of the Lunar New Year holiday on the 27th.
To ensure rapid recovery and support in the event of large-scale fires or power outages, the corporation has decided to strengthen its on-duty system. Additionally, the Electrical Safety Call Center (1588-7500) will operate 24 hours a day to ensure there are no inconveniences for the public.
To verify the safety management system, unannounced on-site inspections by executives will be conducted at 10 vulnerable multi-use facilities. From the 13th to the 17th, each business office will operate an Electrical Safety Emphasis Week to thoroughly reinforce safety before the holiday.
