[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Ulsan City announced on the 14th that it will prepare and implement a 'Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Plan' to ensure that citizens have a safe and enjoyable holiday during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The comprehensive plan consists of eight areas: ▲Operation of a comprehensive situation room ▲Traffic flow and safety measures ▲Disaster and safety accident measures ▲Price management and protection of low-income households ▲Emergency medical treatment and quarantine measures ▲Environmental management measures ▲Creating a warm holiday atmosphere of sharing ▲Strict establishment of public service discipline.
Ulsan City plans to set up a comprehensive situation room from the 24th to the 27th to respond quickly and systematically to various situations that may arise.
To ensure that returning visitors can safely visit their hometowns, a 'Traffic Situation Room' will be operated from the 23rd to the 27th to manage real-time traffic conditions, including guidance on detours and provision of traffic information during traffic congestion. For late-night arrivals, 199 city buses on 44 routes operating between the express and intercity bus terminals and Taehwagang Station will be in service, and on the 25th, the day of Lunar New Year, limousine buses operating at Ulsan Station will have extended late-night service.
To prevent disasters, accidents, and maintain a 24-hour disaster situation management system, a disaster safety alert situation room will be operated during the holiday period, and safety management of facilities in traditional markets and multi-use facilities will be inspected before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Due to the recent increase in fire incidents, a special fire safety investigation will also be conducted on complex buildings such as movie theaters and medical facilities. The 119 comprehensive situation room will supplement personnel during the holiday period to prepare for various incidents and accidents and maintain a full readiness for immediate dispatch in case of emergencies.
Additionally, a 'Price Countermeasure Comprehensive Situation Room' will be established to frequently check the supply status of essential goods and price trends.
An 'Emergency Medical Treatment Countermeasure Situation Room' will be set up to prepare for emergency patients during the holiday period, including rotation medical treatment at public medical institutions (4), designated operation of emergency medical institutions (8), operation of on-duty medical institutions (1368), operation of on-duty pharmacies (411), and operation of over-the-counter drug stores (882, 24-hour convenience stores).
To create a warm holiday atmosphere, Ulsan City will conduct visits and support activities targeting 89 facilities including elderly and disabled facilities, veterans, children, and homeless shelters, and will also do its best in inspection activities to strictly establish public service discipline.
