KCCI: "Express Gratitude This Lunar New Year with Our Agricultural Products"
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on the 14th that they will conduct a joint campaign until the 23rd to expand the consumption of Korean agricultural and food products.
KCCI and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs are distributing the "Collection of Excellent Agricultural and Food Products" and jointly branded promotional posters to 73 regional chambers of commerce and member companies to encourage the purchase of Korean agricultural products as Lunar New Year gifts. The collection includes a total of 276 items, such as excellent agricultural and food products and master food craftsman products that have won awards at various competitions or have been recommended by local governments.
From the previous day until today, a "Korean Agricultural and Food Products Promotion Center" was set up inside the Chamber of Commerce building to promote and conduct pre-orders targeting KCCI and tenant company employees. Major regional chambers in Daegu, Daejeon, Cheongju, and Pyeongtaek plan to carry out joint campaigns in cooperation with local governments, including promotional and sales events for excellent agricultural products.
Kim Jundong, Executive Vice Chairman of KCCI, said, "We hope that the holiday campaign jointly conducted by KCCI and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will revitalize the consumption of Korean agricultural products," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to help companies and agriculture coexist."
