Doosan Infracore Fire at Incheon Plant... 59 Workers Evacuated
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] A fire broke out at around 8:07 AM on the 14th at Doosan Infracore's Hwaseu-dong factory in Dong-gu, Incheon, and was extinguished after 1 hour and 6 minutes.
As a result of the fire, 59 workers in the factory evacuated on their own, and fortunately, there were no casualties.
Fire authorities, who responded to a report of a fire on the first floor of the large engine factory, deployed 31 pieces of equipment including command vehicles and 63 personnel to extinguish the fire. The fire department reported that the fire initially started in the engine test room on the first floor of the factory and is currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
