North Korea U-23 National Team Loses 0-2 to UAE... 'Eliminated from Qualifiers'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] North Korea's U-23 (under 23) football team was eliminated from the qualifiers after suffering two consecutive defeats in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Championship.
On the afternoon of the 13th, at Buriram Stadium in Buriram, Thailand, North Korea lost 0-2 to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their second Group D qualifying match.
UAE's Khalifa Al Hammadi and Zayed Al Ameri scored goals in the 17th and 30th minutes of the first half, respectively.
North Korea launched a counterattack in the second half but failed to break through the UAE's goal.
