Gyeonggi-do Expands 'Kindness Evaluation and Training' to Affiliated Organizations and Others
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will expand its kindness evaluation and training from internal employees of the provincial government to all institutions within the province.
This measure reflects the policy intention of Governor Lee Jae-myung of Gyeonggi Province to create a kinder and more proactive Gyeonggi Province by spreading a kind administrative mindset toward residents.
On the 13th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will conduct kindness evaluations and training twice a year, in the first and second halves, targeting internal employees of the provincial government, 26 public institutions and business offices under the province, and 21 delegated agencies.
The evaluation will be conducted using the "Mystery Shopper" method, where evaluators conceal their identity and score services and quality.
Based on the evaluation results from the first and second halves, the province plans to provide incentives such as cash rewards, backpack training, and leisure points to outstanding departments, while lower-ranking departments will have their names disclosed and their staff retrained.
Additionally, the existing "lecture-style" training will be converted to "experiential" training to enhance educational effectiveness, and kindness response manuals will be distributed to all institutions within the province.
Furthermore, kindness managers will be designated and operated in each department to provide a higher level of kindness service to residents.
