Four New Supreme Court Justice Nominees... No Tae-ak, Yoon Joon, Kwon Ki-hoon, Cheon Dae-yeop (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The list of candidates for the new Supreme Court Justice, who will be appointed as the successor to Justice Cho Hee-dae retiring this March, has been narrowed down to four.
The Supreme Court Justice Candidate Recommendation Committee held a meeting at the Supreme Court at 3 p.m. on the 9th and, after reviewing the eligibility of the nominated candidates, recommended four candidates to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
All four candidates are judges. They are No Tae-ak (16th Judicial Research and Training Institute class), Chief Judge of the Seoul High Court; Yoon Joon (16th class), Chief Judge of the Suwon District Court; Kwon Ki-hoon (18th class), Chief Judge of the Seoul Northern District Court; and Cheon Dae-yeop (21st class), Chief Judge of the Seoul High Court.

Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo will disclose the major rulings and work records of the candidates and plans to collect various opinions from both inside and outside the judiciary from the 10th to the 16th. Afterwards, based on the recommendations and the collected opinions, one candidate will be nominated as the new Supreme Court Justice.
