"After an Argument..." Vietnamese Crew Member Stabs Colleague to Death, Surrenders to Police
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] A Vietnamese sailor in his 30s surrendered to the police after killing a fellow countryman during an argument.
On the 9th, the Uljin Police Station in Gyeongbuk announced that they are investigating a Vietnamese sailor in his 30s, Mr. A, on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A (36) reportedly had an argument with his fellow countryman Mr. B (35) while drinking at a pub in Giseong-myeon, Uljin-gun, around 8 p.m. on the 8th. The argument continued in a taxi on the way back to their lodging, and upon arrival, Mr. A wielded a weapon.
Mr. A surrendered to the police on the morning of the 9th and stated during the investigation, "I stabbed him with a weapon during an argument."
