Hyosung TNC Holds New Year's Greeting Ceremony with Daegu Textile Industry Leaders
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyosung TNC Co., Ltd. held a New Year's greeting ceremony by inviting representatives of the Daegu textile industry, the mecca of the textile industry.
Hyosung TNC held the 2020 Daegu New Year's greeting ceremony on the 8th at the Dynasty Hall of Daegu Grand Hotel.
At the event, Hyosung TNC CEO Kim Yong-seop, Lee Cheon-gyu, head of Nylon Polyester PU, 51 polyester yarn companies, 30 nylon yarn companies, 15 spandex yarn companies, and about 100 companies attended.
This event has been held annually since 2000 for major customers of Hyosung TNC. It is intended to exchange market information such as new material development and newly launched products and to strengthen friendship.
This year, a trend seminar was held, where Hyosung TNC's textile marketing team and fashion design team explained new fabrics and the latest trends, and also took questions from customers.
Daegu led the revival of the textile fashion industry, which was Korea's semiconductor in the 1970s and 1980s, and many yarn and fabric factories were located there. Most customers have collaborated with Hyosung for over 30 years, so the New Year's meeting is held annually in Daegu.
