Iraq Baghdad Green Zone Hit by Rocket Attack at Midnight (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The Green Zone in Baghdad, where the U.S. Embassy in Iraq is located, was hit by a rocket attack. This additional attack occurred the day after Iran carried out a retaliatory strike against the United States.
On the 8th, the Iraqi Joint Chiefs of Staff stated, "Two Katyusha (multiple rocket launcher) rockets were fired at the Baghdad Green Zone," adding, "There were no casualties as a result."
The attack is reported to have taken place in the middle of the night.
During the attack, alarm sirens sounded in the Green Zone, CNN reported. It is still unknown who carried out the rocket attack and from where.
