[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Haemaro Food Service, the operator of the hamburger franchise 'Mom's Touch,' issued an official statement on the 8th, promising job security and improved treatment for its employees.
Haemaro Food Service emphasized through the company's internal network that "the stock and convertible bond purchase agreement signed between Chairman Jeong Hyun-sik and Korea F&B Holdings Limited includes a job security clause."
The clause states that "except for executives, the employment relationships of Haemaro Food Service employees will be maintained, and working conditions will not be changed to their disadvantage."
The company stated, "Job security and treatment guarantees are clearly promised to the extent that they are explicitly stated in the contract," and emphasized, "They will definitely be upheld."
Previously, in November last year, Haemaro Food Service signed a memorandum of understanding to sell to the private equity fund KL&Partners, which caused internal conflicts.
