Geumcheon-gu Holds 2020 'New Year Greeting Meeting'
On the 10th at 4 PM, the New Year's Meeting was held at Geumnarae Art Hall with over 600 attendees including residents, sharing the new year's district administration direction and vision
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the '2020 New Year's Greeting Meeting' at 4 p.m. on the 10th at the Geumnarae Art Hall performance hall, sharing a time to pledge a new leap forward for Geumcheon in 2020 with the residents.
About 600 people, including Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, National Assembly member Lee Hun, Ryu Myung-gi, Chairman of Geumcheon-gu Council, city and district council members, and residents, are expected to attend the event.
First, the event will begin with pre-performance shows created by residents, such as the 'Our Neighborhood Orchestra' performance and the traditional Korean music performance by the creative gugak group 'Mureu.'
In the main event, the program will include the 'Opening Declaration,' 'National Ceremony,' 'New Year Video Screening,' 'Mayor's New Year's Address,' and 'New Year's Greetings' from key guests.
In particular, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu will share with residents the future vision and administrative direction that announce a new leap forward for Geumcheon-gu in 2020, along with his New Year's greetings.
As a congratulatory performance, the Geumcheon-gu Women's Choir will present a beautiful harmony, followed by all attendees singing 'Ah! Republic of Korea,' and the event will conclude with the release of paper airplanes carrying the wishes of the residents.
For residents who cannot attend the event, the progress will be broadcast live on Geumcheon-gu's Facebook. Additionally, a New Year photo zone will be set up outside the venue to allow attending residents to freely take commemorative photos while making New Year wishes.
