IU Signs Exclusive Contract with Idam Entertainment
Kakao M Subsidiary "All Kakao M Staff Move Together... A New Start"
Singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun) signed an exclusive contract with Idam Entertainment on the 6th. The company was newly established by CEO Bae Jong-han, who has been with her since her debut in 2008. Kakao M participated through equity investment. They plan to manage artist management as well as plan and produce albums and performances. Idam Entertainment stated, "IU signed an exclusive contract based on the strong trust with the manager who has been with her for 12 years." They added, "All other staff who have worked with IU at Kakao M will also move to join this new start together." IU appeared in last year's drama "Hotel Del Luna" and recently completed a successful Asia tour. Her next project is the film "Dream," directed by Lee Byung-hun.
