Yeonggwang-gun Announces 2019 Social Survey Results
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 6th that it has published the results of a social survey conducted on December 30 last year regarding social interests and subjective awareness related to the quality of life of its residents.
This social survey was conducted from August 23 to September 4 last year through face-to-face interviews with 828 sample households in the county, covering a total of 60 questions including 40 items from Jeollanam-do such as population, income, labor, education, health, and social welfare, as well as 20 specific items related to the county.
The survey results showed that 92.5% of respondents expressed pride in being residents of the county, and the policy considered to be the best by the residents was "expansion of communication and participation with residents," which received the highest approval.
Additionally, regarding childbirth promotion policies, two out of three residents responded that they were effective, and half of the residents reported having used the local currency, Yeonggwang Sarang Gift Certificates.
The published social survey results illustrate various aspects such as residents' quality of life, living standards, family life, income and consumption, labor, education, healthcare, social welfare, leisure culture, and safety. Detailed information can be found on the county office website.

A county official stated, "Based on this social survey, we will closely analyze the living conditions of residents to use it as basic data for county administration direction and various policy establishment, and we will do our best to improve the quality of life of our residents."
