On this day, personnel changes were made for the Secretary for National Policy Planning, Secretary for National Situation Room, Secretary for New Southern Policy and New Northern Policy, Secretary for Job Planning and Coordination, and Secretary for Industry and Trade. Additionally, a Digital Innovation Secretary was newly established to promote key national tasks. The positions of Officer for Public Safety, Officer for Materials, Parts, and Equipment Industry, and Officer for Defense Industry were also newly created.
Oh Jong-sik, the Blue House Speech Planning Secretary, was appointed as Planning Secretary. Lee Jin-seok, the Blue House Policy Coordination Secretary, was appointed as Head of the National Situation Room. Park Jin-gyu, the Trade Secretary, was appointed as Secretary for New Southern Policy and New Northern Policy. Lee Jun-hyeop, the Blue House Job Planning Secretary, was appointed as Secretary for Job Planning and Coordination. Kang Seong-cheon, the Blue House Industrial Policy Secretary, was appointed as Blue House Secretary for Industry and Trade.
Furthermore, the Blue House established the Digital Innovation Secretary position. The Officer for Public Safety, responsible for traffic, industrial accidents, suicide prevention, and child safety, was also newly created. The Officer for Materials, Parts, and Equipment Industry was established as well. Additionally, the Officer for Defense Industry was newly created.
The Blue House stated, "As we enter the second half of national administration, we are partially reorganizing the Blue House's organization and functions to ensure efficient support for national governance and to strengthen the driving force for national task implementation." The current structure of three chiefs?Secretariat, Policy Office, and Security Office?along with 12 senior secretaries and 49 secretaries will be maintained. However, to improve work efficiency, some secretaries' duties and affiliations have been adjusted. In particular, new secretaries and officers have been established to focus intensively on key national tasks.
