Over 40 Vehicles Collide on Hapcheon National Road... Suspected Black Ice

At around 6:46 a.m. on the 6th, about 40 vehicles including passenger cars and trucks collided on the downhill section of National Road No. 33 in Daeyang-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, heading toward Hapcheon-eup.
The police and fire department explained that 32 vehicles including passenger cars were involved in a chain collision, followed by 7 passenger cars colliding consecutively about 20 meters away. Two other passenger cars behind also crashed into the guardrail.
As a result of the accident, eight people including passenger car driver A (37, male) were injured in the waist and other areas and were transported to a nearby hospital.
The ages of the injured range from 30 to 60, and the police confirmed that there is no threat to their lives.
