Hyundai Home Shopping, First in Industry to Sell 'Cheongsong Baekja Moon Jar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Hyundai Home Shopping announced on the 2nd that it will hold a launch broadcast for the 'Cheongsong Baekja Moon Jar' starting at 8:20 AM on the 4th. This is the first time that 'Cheongsong Baekja' is being sold in the home shopping industry.
'Cheongsong Baekja' is a representative local cultural heritage of Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk. Unlike ceramics from other regions that use clay, it continues a unique production method by grinding rare minerals found only in Cheongsong-gun, which is designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
The product introduced by Hyundai Home Shopping this time is a reinterpretation of the 'Moon Jar,' which is considered a symbol of Joseon white porcelain, featuring a snow-white color and a shape reminiscent of a full moon. In particular, it is characterized by being made by separately crafting the upper and lower bodies and then joining them at the center, giving it an irregular beauty.
During the broadcast, the 'Cheongsong Baekja Moon Jar' with a maximum diameter of 35.5 cm will be offered at 2 million KRW, and the 41.5 cm size product will be offered at 3 million KRW. Customers who purchase during the broadcast will receive a 'Cheongsong Baekja Moon Jar Miniature' as a gift, and a 36-month interest-free installment plan will also be provided.
