K-pop acts dominate Oricon’s daily music charts

K-pop idol groups are shining bright in Japan with their latest albums' sales reaching high on music charts.

Super Junior’s fourth Japanese single titled, “Sexy, Free & Single,” made its way to the No. 2 spot on the daily singles chart after moving about 64,000 copies since its release on August 22, according to data reported by Oricon on Tuesday.The ten-member group has drawn much attention from the public by showing profitable outcomes without pursuing any promotional activities in Japan.

Solidifying its ground in the Japanese music scene, Boyfriend ranked at the fourth place on the daily singles chart with their Japanese debut single “Be My Shine” released on the same day as Super Junior's.

Additionally, four-member group 4minute's new Japanese single "Love Tension" debuted at No. 18 on the daily singles chart Thursday.Set to return to the local music scene this September, Secret nabbed the sixth place on Oricon's daily albums chart with their first Japanese studio album “WELCOME to SECRET TIME.”

Meanwhile, top boy band Big Bang grabbed the No. 1 spot with “BIGBANG’s ALIVE 2012 MAKING COLLECTION" and singing duo TVXQ! saw the group's latest DVD release "TOHOSHINKI LIVE TOUR 2012 TONE" sit at No. 16 on Oricon's DVD music daily chart on Tuesday.
