Korean actor Jung Kyoung-ho will soon be discharged from the army after fulfilling his mandatory military duties, according to his agency fantagio.

On Thursday, fantagio announced in a press statement that Jung will resume his activities as an actor once he is discharged from his services in early September. Along with the announcement, the firm revealed a recent photograph of Jung with a short mohawk hairstyle and donned in his military uniform.

In November 2010, he bid farewell to his fans when temorarily leaving the screen to serve as an active-duty solider. Jung, who is currently in the military band, was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Jung made his debut in 2004 through mobile drama "5 Star" and rose to stardom with the role he played in the popular TV series “I'm Sorry, I Love You" (KBS, 2004).Since then he has played both the lead and supporting roles in the small screen including “Time Between Dog and Wolf” (MBC, 2007), “Princess Jamyung” (SBS, 2009), and “Smile, You” (SBS, 2009-2010).

His list of movies include “Gangster High (2006),” “Someone Dear is Far Away" and “Running Turtle (2009).”
