Pentaport organizers also noted that other overseas artists such as Crystal Castles and Ash will perform at the largest rock music event in Korea,

Local musicians including female indie rock duo Rooftop Moonlight, singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yeol, nine-member band Kingston Rudieska, Hot Potato, "Americano" sensation 10cm and KOXX are on the list as well. Also, alternative indie rock band Daybreak, Rose Motel, The Moonshiners and Windy City were all part of the lineup announced on Thursday.

The three-day summer festival's history traces back to 1999 when the Tri-port Rock Festival opened in Incheon. After the festive got hit by two consecutive typhoons, what could have stayed as the biggest rock festival in Korea never got off the ground.

The rearranged version of the TRF is the current Pentaport, which brings about 60 local and overseas artists to rock out more than 50,000 fans every year, and it has been building reputation for presenting some of the biggest names of rock music.
