Korean actor Lee Sang-yeop has been cast in an upcoming Korea-Japan TV series starring KARA's Kang Jiyoung and Choshinsung's Park Geonil, according to his agency Sidus HQ.

Sidus HQ said on Monday that Lee will take on the role of Han Sae-oh, a college student majoring in physical education and also the older brother to Jiyoung's character in "Rainbow Rose" set to air on Japan's TV Tokyo in April of next year. "Rose," to be helmed by Kim Soo-ryong of SBS TV series "Lie to Me" (SBS, 2011), will tell the story of several college students that are living together in a boarding house.

Lee, 29, made his debut in 2007 with a role in KBS' weekend series "Blissful Woman" and has since appeared in SBS' "Midas" and MBC's "Miss Ripley."
