Park Min-young opens up social networking webpage in China

Korean actress Park Min-young has opened a social networking account in China this week, according to her agency King Kong Entertainment on Friday.

A press release from King Kong announced that Park has opened an account on China's Weibo [Chinese version of Twitter] on Wednesday."We received numerous requests from Chinese fans asking for Park to start a Weibo account due to her popularity rising in the country through her shows 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' and 'City Hunter,'" an official from King Kong told 10Asia over the phone today.

The official explained that Park was excited about starting Weibo and that she hopes to communicate with her fans. "We also have discussed the idea of her visiting China after she finishes shooting her current KBS TV series 'Glory Jane.'"

Park made her debut through a commercial in 2005 and has also appeared in popular sitcom “High Kick (2006)” and several dramas including “Princess Ja Myung Go" (SBS, 2009).She has since starred in "SungKyunKwan Scandal," "City Hunter" and in film "The Cat."
