KBS drama "My Love My Family" has once again blown away its competition on the weekly TV charts, maintaining its title as the most-watched show in the country for the eighth straight week.
Figures by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the weekend family series scored ratings of 27.3 and 27.9 percent, respectively, during the second week of July showing an increase of almost two percentage points on both charts compared to the previous week. This week's episode focused on how Kim Woo-jin (Lee Pil-mo) asks Yoon Hwa-young (Yoon Mi-ra) for permission to marry Choi Yoon-hee (Hwangwoo Seul-hye).
Placing in second was SBS' weekend series "New Gisaeng Story," starring Lim Soo-hyang, Sung Hoon and Han Hye-rin, with ratings of 20.6 percent on TNmS' survey and higher ratings of 24.2 percent on AGB's poll.
MBC's family drama "Twinkle Twinkle," starring Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Yu-ri and Kim Seok-hoon, saw a slight rise of about a one percentage point compared to last week, though remaining in third place, with scores of 20.4 percent on TNms' chart and 22.2 percent on AGB's poll.
