English rock band Beady Eye has rescheduled their concert in Korea to September, the concert’s promoter and organizer 9 Entertainment said on Thursday.

9 Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone today that the four-member rock band which postponed their May 15 concert, has re-set the date to September 3 at the AX Korea Hall in Seoul. The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11 which left at least 21,000 people dead or missing and thousands homeless had forced the band to push back their show.

Beady Eye used to be part of the famed rock band Oasis which first formed in 1991 and became known as the representative rock band in the United Kingdom after the Beatles.

They have had all seven of their albums place in first on UK’s music charts and producing a number of hit songs such as “Live Forever,” Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”The band, having sold over 70 million copies of their album, also won 15 New Musical Express (NME) Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six BRIT Awards among other acclaims.

The present group was established in 2009 after the official disbandment of Oasis the same year when the leader singer and guitarist Noel Gallagher quit the band and replaced by Liam Gallagher to do the vocal while other members Gem Archer (guitar/piano/base), Andy Bell (guitar/ base), and Chris Sharrock (drum) stayed on.

The band is already familiar with the Korean audience, having held their first exclusive concert as Oasis in 2006 followed by their performance at the Jisan Rock Valley Festival in 2009.
