After School UIE reveals solo track today

Female idol UIE of girl group After School released her solo song today, according to her agency Pledis Entertainment on Thursday.

Pledis announced in a press release that UIE's song "Sok Sok Sok," featuring rap by labelmate After School Boys' member Jonghyun, was revealed on various online music charts, while the song has been selected as the song for the commercial of golf brand Lecoq. "'Sok Sok Sok' expresses a girl's desire to confess her love for a boy while the melody and lyrics will show a sweet and cheerful side to UIE," an official from Pledis was quoted as saying, while they are still in talks on how UIE will go about promoting the song.

UIE, whose real name is Kim Yoo-jin, made her debut as one of the vocalists to girl group After School in 2009. The girls recently finished promoting title track "Shampoo" from their first full-length album "VIRGIN."

Outside of her group activities, UIE had appeared in several TV series including "Queen Seok-deok (MBC, 2009) and "He's Beautiful (SBS, 2009)." She has been cast in an upcoming KBS weekend series "Golden Pond (translated title)" which will air in August. UIE is also the host of SBS' variety show "Night After Night" and has played a make-believe couple in MBC's "We Got Married" opposite actor Park Jae-jung.
