Female idol group KARA held a fan meeting in Korea over the weekend, meeting with their local fans for the first time since resolving an internal conflict which could have ended their highly successful singing career.

The girls met with some 3,000 fans through their second-ever Korea fan meeting titled “What We Want To Tell You…” held at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium on Saturday, which was also covered by various local media outlets as well as Japan’s Fuji TV and Asahi TV and screened live at over 80 theaters in Japan. This was the first time the girl appeared in front of fans in Korea since January, when members Han Seungyeon, Kang Jiyoung and Nicole Jung declared they would split from their agency DSP Media.

After that, KARA had continued promoting themselves in Japan but halted their activities back home until deciding late in April, to stay with DSP.

The fan event, lasting about two hours, kicked off with a video that featured KARA's members greeting their fans followed by their performances of their mega-hit dance numbers “Jumping,” “Mister” and “Lupin” in person. Then during a talking session, the girls brought out a three-story cake on stage, declaring June 11 as KAMILIA DAY [official name of KARA’s fans], and revealed gifts prepared by each member which they later presented to fans through random selection.

The show continued with a special video titled “KARA’s Happy News” where the girls announced of their plans to resume their activities in Korea around late summer or fall.

After the video presentation, DSP labelmate seven-member girl group Rainbow gave a guest performance with their songs "A" and “TO ME” which was then followed by KARA’s ballad “Wait.”

KARA then took the stage for their first ever performance, in Korea and Japan, of their third Japanese single "JET COASTER LOVE."

The girls became teary when words of encouragement such as “Thank you for returning to us,” “Keep smiling from now on!,” “Ten hands held together, five smiles, one heart,” and “KARA FOREVER” were shown on the screen by KAMILIA.

Members Kang Ji-young and Jung Nicole momentarily burst into tears as they expressed their gratitude to their fans while rest of the members promised to do their best to make their fans proud.

The girls then sang the Korean version of their Japanese ballad “What We Want To Tell You…” and wrapped up the fan event with encore performances of “Honey,” “Pretty Girl” and “Rock U.”

KARA is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market whose feat include becoming the first foreign female group in the Oricon's 43-year history to top the prestigious chart in the first week of releasing a single with their third Japanese single "JET COASTER LOVE" last April.

Their fourth Japanese single “Go Go Summer!” was released in the country earlier this month.
