Ham Eun-jung from T-ara [Core Contents Media]
Eunjung from idol group T-ara has been cast in an ongoing KBS historical drama, according to her agency Core Contents Media on Tuesday.
Core Contents explained through a press release today that Eunjung will make an appearance in the series titled “The King of Legend” which is being shown every weekend evening since last November. “The King of Legend” is based on the life of King Geun Chogo, the 13th ruler of ancient Baekje Kingdom, that controlled the middle part of Korean Peninsula from 18 B.C. to A.D 660. The king is known for leading his kingdom to its heyday during his reign.
Eunjung, making her second appearance in a historical drama after SBS series “The Land” in 2005, will appear as the daughter of General Jin Go-do, a lady of virtue and grace who later marries King Geun Chogo’s son, Prince Geun Goo-soo, to rise as the first queen of Baekje Kingdom.
Eunjung will appear till the end of the 60-part drama which currently has 14 episodes remaining.“I’m bit nervous but also excited by this opportunity to learn more from senior actors,” Eunjung was quoted as saying in the statement.
Eunjung, whose full name is Ham Eun-jung, made her debut as a child actor in the early 1990s and has displayed her acting skills in various roles including the SBS' TV series "Coffee House" (2010) alongside Kang Ji-hwan and recently in KBS' music drama "Dream High" (2011). She also appeared on the big screen with a role in film "Death Bell" (2008).
She is also a member of the seven-member girl group T-ara who made their debut in July 2009 with their singles "Lie" and "Wanna Play." They have several other hit songs under their belt including "Bo Peep Bo Peep," "I Go Crazy Because of You" and "Why Are You Like That."
Meanwhile, Eunjung has also been cast in MBC's weekend reality show "We Got Married," where she will play a make-believe married couple with actor Lee Jang-woo.
