Songstress G.NA took off for Canada yesterday to perform at a music festival, revealed her agency Cube Entertainment on Monday.

According to a press release from Cube, G.NA will take the stage at the Canada-Korea Friendship Festival (CKFF) held at the Bell Performing Arts Center in British Columbia of Canada this evening (Korea time) which is the highlight of Cube’s global audition which has been held since December last year. Over 4,000 people sent in their audition tapes through the YouTube channel, while the 15 finalists will compete tonight to win a chance to join the agency as a full-fledged trainee.

The state government of British Columbia explained how they have high expectations for this performance since it displays the exchange between popular cultures that will lead to cultural diversity, while congratulating G.NA for becoming an established singer in Korea.

“This is my first time coming to Canada after making my debut and performing here means a lot to me,” G.NA was quoted as saying expressing her feelings on returning to her hometown. G.NA made her official debut in 2002 with the song “Wrongful Expectations” for the soundtrack to MBC’s drama “Dangerous Man.” She released her single "Things I want to do When I Have a Lover" which features Asian superstar Rain in September 2010 and followed it up with the song "I'll Back Off" from her first mini-album.

She has enjoyed a successful return to the local music scene with her first full-length album “Black&White” and swept various online and offline music charts with the title track of the same name.
