SBS "Secret Garden" sees 1st weekly TV chart win

SBS drama “Secret Garden” reached No.1 for the first time on last week's TV ratings chart, according to data by Total National Multimedia Service (TNmS) on Monday.

“Secret Garden,” a romantic comedy starring Ha Ji-won and Hyun Bin, posted an average rating of 27.6 percent for the week of December 13 to 19, moving up from second to first place on the latest TV chart. Falling behind by less than one percent was KBS family series “All About Marriage” starring Kim Ji-young and Lee Jong-hyuk which reported an average rating of 26.9 percent.

SBS' prime time series "The President” led by Ko Hyun-jung, Kwon Sang-woo and Cha In-pyo came in third marking 26.1 percent in terms of average rating, which is a two percent gain from the previous week.

“The President,” about one woman’s rise to presidency, has stayed atop Wednesdays and Thursdays prime time TV chart for 10 weeks now.Other shows that made it into the top 10 on weekly charts were variety shows “Happy Sunday,” “Gag Concert,” “World Changing Quiz” and “Infinite Challenge,” weekday dramas “Smile Again” and “Athena,” and major news program KBS 9’clock News.

Separately, research firm AGB Nielson Media Research placed KBS weekdays drama “Smile Again” on first place on its chart with an average rating of 28.3 percent followed by “All About Marriage” that settled second with 27.1 percent. SBS “The President” came in third with 26.2 percent, posting results similar to that reported by TNmS.
