Kim Hyung-joon says turned down Park Jung-min acting advice

SS501 member Kim Hyung-joon has said he turned down Park Jung-min's offer to teach him acting.

The remark came during a press conference for Kim's musical "Cafe In" on Monday while responding to a reporter's question on how the members of his five-member boy band reacted when he was cast for the musical.After commenting that "everyone was surprised," Kim explained, "Park offered to teach me to act but I didn't respond once and then I politely turned him down the next time he asked."

While "Cafe In" will be Kim's musical debut -- he has only led a singing career since debuting as a member of popular boy band SS501 in 2005 while fellow bandmate Park has appeared in several musicals and a single-episode drama.

Kim added, "They all congratulated me wholeheartedly and promised to come watch me perform. I'm happy that I have something to show off to them about."The 23-year-old singer will play the double role of sommelier Jimin and Jung-min in the musical, a love story about a sommelier and a barista whose ex-lovers get married as soon as they break up with them, produced by actor Kang Ji-hwan.

The show will run in Korea at the Baekam Art Hall from November 24 to January 23.
