Brazilian bossa nova singer Bebel Gilberto will be visiting Korea to give her first concert in the country over the weekend, according to concert organizer Credia.
The Grammy-nominated singer, who released her latest album "All in One" last year, will be performing at Seoul's Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on April 10. The daughter of legendary bossa nova singers Joao Gilberto and Miucha, Bebel Gilberto was born in New York and has been performing in Rio de Janeiro and New York since her childhood days.
She is known for introducing the so-called "neo-bossa nova," combining the sounds of traditional bossa nova with electronic music, and released her official debut album "Tanto Tempo" in 2000.
Her consequent records "Bebel Gilberto" (2004), "Momento" (2007) and last year's "All in One" gained her further recognition in the music industry and solidified her representative status as a bossa nova musician.
