Another SHINee member down with influenza flu

SHINee member Taemin has been diagnosed with the influenza flu, becoming the third member in the group to come down with the dreaded flu strain.

"He was diagnosed with the flu today and we are sorry to see this happen because we had been doing our best to see that the members don't get sick," an official at SM Entertainment told Asia Economic Daily over the phone on Thursday. The official explained the two members who were previously sick had been separated from the rest of the group while recovering and the agency had disinfected their house.

SHINee will be promoting their current album with its remaining four members once again until Taemin recovers. The group had resumed their activities with all five members just a week ago after being forced to promote their current album with just four members since early November.

Leader Jonghyun was the first of the group who was confirmed to have infected the H1N1 influenza virus followed by member Onew several days later. The boy band had topped various music charts in Korea for several weeks with "Ring Ding Dong" from their third mini-album "2009, Year Of Us" which was released in late October.

They have had several other K-pop hits, most notably their debut single "Older Girl, You're So Pretty" and the recent chart topper "Juliette" earlier this year.
