Actor Lee Seo-jin meets with Japan's next leader

Korean actor Lee Seo-jin has met with Yukio Hatoyama, the Prime Minister-designate and the leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, according to a press release.

Lee reportedly visited the politician's private office in Tokyo, handing him a Korean pottery set and a DVD collection of the actor's hit TV series "Yi-San" as a present."I enjoyed watching the drama 'Yi-San'", Hatoyama was quoted as saying, "My wife and I often watch Korean dramas. In particular, I have watched the dramas Lee appears in."

The political leader is also said to have told the Korean actor, who played King Jeongjo in "Yi-San", that he "will do revolutionary politics, like Jeongjo. I should study and learn from how Jeongjo did politics."

The 36-year-old actor, who most recently starred in MBC's horror series "Soul", is taking a break from work and seeking out his next project. On a promotion tour for the hit drama "Yi-San", he attended a fan meeting which was held at Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza Hall on Saturday. "Yi-San" recently aired on NHK and was a big hit in Japan.
