On May 13, the Gumi Fire Station in North Gyeongsang Province (headed by Jou Yuhyeon) announced that it held a 'Donation Ceremony for Residential Firefighting Equipment' together with Wonik QnC Co., Ltd. and the Good Neighbors Gyeongbuk West Branch, aiming to strengthen the community's fire safety network.
This event was organized in connection with corporate social responsibility activities to improve the residential safety of aging apartment complexes, where large-scale casualties are a concern in the event of a fire, and to enhance initial response capabilities for residential fires.

This year, the donated items are valued at a total of 10 million won and consist of 750 standalone fire detectors and 23 fire extinguishers. The donated equipment will be distributed and installed sequentially, focusing on old apartment complexes in the jurisdiction. In particular, emphasis will be placed on the early detection of fires to enable swift evacuation of residents and secure the golden time for rescue.
In addition, firefighters and volunteer fire brigade members will directly assist with installation, while also providing residents with education on how to use fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures, to ensure the donated equipment is effectively utilized in actual fire emergencies.
Jou Yuhyeon, Head of Gumi Fire Station, stated, "I deeply appreciate the representatives of Wonik QnC Co., Ltd. and the Good Neighbors Gyeongbuk West Branch for their unwavering commitment to sharing every year for the safety of our community," adding, "In particular, since the initial response is crucial for aging apartment complexes with insufficient firefighting equipment, I hope that this donation will help eliminate fire blind spots and ensure the safety of citizens."
This donation from Wonik QnC Co., Ltd. raises expectations for further participation of companies in social contribution activities.
