Also present were Jo Junghoon and Ham Unkyung, co-chairs of Park's campaign committee, as well as Jeon Wonsaek, head of the supporters’ association. Park’s campaign office stated that around 2,000 people gathered for the event.
In his greeting, Park stated, "Four years ago, when I first stood here, I resolved not to be a politician who only works with words, but a hands-on problem solver." He added, "With the same relentless passion that led me to hold the on-site mayor’s office 640 times—once every other day—and directly address 236,000 civil complaints, I will ensure a positive transformation for Mapo District."
Park then announced his eight key pledges, saying, "While politicians make promises with words, Kangsoo Park, the hands-on problem solver, delivers results with competence." His pledges include expanding the six types of senior welfare programs, expediting redevelopment and reconstruction projects, creating a cultural and sports complex at the Mapo retention basin, establishing Mapo as the top district for childcare, raising zoning classifications and floor area ratios, building a youth AI industrial complex, introducing Mapo-style AI tutors, and implementing AI safety guardians for high-risk seniors.
Park’s campaign office stated that, starting with this opening ceremony, they will continue a policy-centered election campaign.
