The government is promoting a project to build AI-based clinical systems that can be practically used in medical settings, specifically targeting regional responsible medical institutions such as national university hospitals. The goal is to strengthen patient safety, improve the efficiency of healthcare professionals' work, and enhance the quality of regional medical services. As part of this initiative, Chonnam National University Hospital is establishing a smart hospital system based on AI and digital technologies in its major wards, thereby advancing its real-time patient monitoring environment.

Donga ST will supply HiCardi Plus, Live Studio X, and Smart ID Cards to a total of 236 beds across key departments such as neurosurgery and thoracic surgery at Chonnam National University Hospital. Through this, the company aims to contribute to strengthening patient safety, enhancing the efficiency of healthcare professionals' work, and realizing precision medicine by enabling real-time patient vital sign monitoring and establishing a rapid response system for medical staff.

Meju's HiCardi Plus is a wearable patch-type remote patient monitoring solution that continuously measures and wirelessly transmits real-time data for up to 72 hours, including patient vital signs and activity status such as ECG, body temperature, and respiration. It adopts an on-device computing method that analyzes vital signs directly on the device without going through a server, supporting rapid patient status checks by healthcare professionals. The device is also equipped with a defibrillation protection circuit, enabling uninterrupted collection, analysis, and transmission of vital signs even in emergency situations.

Live Studio X is a central monitoring platform that enables real-time patient status monitoring in the ward, integrating management of multiple vital signs such as ECG, oxygen saturation, and body temperature. The AI system automatically detects 15 types of arrhythmias and notifies medical staff, while supporting various devices including medical staff stations, PCs, and mobile devices to enhance accessibility and usability.

The Smart ID Card (electronic name tag) by People & Technology is an E-paper-based bed management device that automatically updates patient information at the bedside by interfacing with the hospital information system (HIS).

Jungshin, Director of Chonnam National University Hospital, stated, "The establishment of this AI smart monitoring system marks an important starting point for Chonnam National University Hospital to become an AI-based smart hospital," adding, "We aim to create a smarter future model for regional healthcare by offering a safer inpatient environment for patients and a more efficient care environment for medical staff."

Jo Sang-uk, Executive Director and Head of the General Hospital Business Division at Donga ST, said, "With the implementation of this system, a more continuous and precise environment for monitoring patient conditions will be established," and added, "We will continue to contribute to building a safe and efficient medical environment by expanding digital healthcare solutions that reflect the diverse needs of clinical practice."
