Gwangju Shinsegae has launched its early summer fashion promotion, 'Airy Summer,' targeting summer consumer demand.

On May 13, Gwangju Shinsegae announced that it will be holding the 'Airy Summer' event on the 5th floor of the main building until May 17, with a total of 39 brands participating.

'Airy' refers to a breezy style; accordingly, the event will showcase a wide range of seasonal items such as T-shirts, blouses, and cardigans, focusing on lightweight and refreshing fabrics like linen and chiffon that are suitable for layering.

For this event, 32 brands including 'LAP', 'Depound', 'Matinkim', 'Loeuvre', and 'On&On' will participate, offering discounts of 10% to 20%. Additionally, gifts and extra discount events will be available depending on the purchase amount for each brand.

Special limited-time deals are also prepared exclusively for the event.

Featured products include the striped twist blouse from 'Rave', the packable sheer long slim cardigan from 'General Idea', and the balloon ribbon blouse from 'LAP'.

In the retail industry, it is expected that the hot and humid weather will persist this year, leading department stores to launch their summer marketing campaigns earlier than usual.

In particular, there is analysis that 'airy looks' emphasizing functionality and lightness, along with layered styles, are emerging as summer fashion trends.

Kim Yuncheol, Fashion Team Leader at Gwangju Shinsegae, said, "We have prepared items made from breathable, non-clinging fabrics that provide a comfortable fit," adding, "We plan to propose a variety of styles for the early summer season."
