Handonghun Says "Donation Cap of 150 Million Won Reached in 19 Minutes"

On May 13, the campaign team for Handonghoon, who is running as an independent candidate in the Busan Bukgu Gap by-election, announced, "Right after we began accepting political donations at 10:00 a.m. today, a temporary computer error occurred due to a surge of deposits. However, we reached the legal cap of 150 million won within 19 minutes."

According to Handonghoon's team, there were a total of 1,762 donations, with an average amount of 85,131 won per donation. Of these, 1,656 donations were small contributions of 100,000 won or less, accounting for 93.8% of the total.

On the same day, Handonghoon expressed his gratitude on Facebook, saying, "I would like to thank everyone who donated with such passion," and added, "I will not forget your support and will repay it through the reconstruction of Bukgu and the renewal of the conservative movement."

The campaign stated, "As the donation limit has been reached, the account is now closed," and added, "Additional details and statistics regarding the donations will be released after further analysis."
