Hancom Achieves Record Quarterly Results: "Transitioning from Software to AI Company"

Standalone Operating Profit Up 2.7% Year-on-Year to KRW 17.6 Billion in Q1

“Twin-Agent OS” to Launch Within First Half of the Year

Hancom announced on May 13 that, on a standalone basis, its sales and operating profit for the first quarter of this year reached KRW 46.5 billion and KRW 17.6 billion, respectively. This represents an increase of 2.4% in sales and 2.7% in operating profit compared to the same period last year.

The company explained that these results surpass the record-high quarterly performance posted in the first quarter of last year. In particular, growth in the artificial intelligence (AI) business division drove the company's overall expansion.

On a consolidated basis, including the performance of its subsidiaries, Hancom recorded sales of KRW 63.6 billion and operating profit of KRW 8.5 billion. Compared to the same period last year, this represents a 4.4% increase in sales and a 2.1% increase in operating profit.

Hancom has maintained growth for three consecutive years by focusing on AI and cloud-based strategies. Its core AI products, which perform document parsing and unstructured data extraction, have contributed to these strong results. The company has announced an annual sales target of KRW 210 billion for this year.

Building on its achievements in AI, Hancom plans to launch its next-generation “Twin-Agent OS” within the first half of the year and to begin full-scale commercialization in 2026. The Twin-Agent OS is a technology that creates a digital twin AI agent replicating the user's work style. Even after the user leaves work, the agent autonomously completes tasks.

Hancom CEO Kim Yeonsu stated, "Our first quarter 2026 results clearly demonstrate, with concrete figures, that Hancom is being re-evaluated as an AI technology company beyond its traditional role as a software company. Based on our stable profit structure, we will leverage the potential of our technology ecosystem, as evidenced on platforms such as GitHub, to focus our entire organization on developing Agentic OS and expanding into the global market as part of our next-generation vision."
