While NVIDIA’s annual revenue grew by 65%, CEO Jensen Huang’s total compensation fell by 27% compared to the previous year. This was due to a decline in the value of his stock-based compensation.
According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 12 (local time), Huang’s stock-based compensation for fiscal year 2026 decreased by 36% to $24,800,511 (approximately 37.12 billion won). His total compensation stood at $36,343,830 (about 54.43 billion won).
In the 2025 fiscal year, Huang received $38,811,306 in stock-based compensation, with his total compensation reaching $49,866,251.
NVIDIA is the world’s most valuable company by market capitalization, but its share price growth has slowed over the past year. Bloomberg News noted that NVIDIA’s share price tripled in 2023 and more than doubled in 2024, but increased by only 39% last year. So far this year, shares have risen by 18%, representing the smallest increase among major semiconductor companies.
Huang’s base salary remained largely unchanged at $1,497,627, with non-equity incentive pay at $6 million, also nearly flat compared to last year. Other compensation amounted to $4,045,691.
