On May 13, Koscom announced that it has been designated by the Personal Information Protection Commission as the operating institution for the One-Stop Support Center. The One-Stop Support Center is a specialized organization that pseudonymizes personal data held by public institutions, verifies the risk of re-identification, and supports safe utilization by research institutes, companies, schools, and public institutions.

Koscom plans to link relevant professional support systems, such as the Pseudonymous Data Utilization Support Center and the Personal Information Innovation Zone, to help public institutions respond stably to institutional changes.

Pseudonymous data provided by public institutions is expected to play an important role in improving the performance and reliability of artificial intelligence (AI) models, as it is both large-scale and refined. In addition, since statistical data on a national scale can be utilized, it is expected to provide a fair and universal foundation for the development of welfare, healthcare, and financial policies and services.

A Koscom representative stated, "As a bridge connecting the demand and supply sides of pseudonymous data, we aim to go beyond simple pseudonymization support and contribute to building a pseudonymous data utilization ecosystem," adding, "Since pseudonymous data is a key to the practical implementation of AI and solving social issues, we will strive to support the provision of pseudonymous data that ensures both utility and security."
