Jung Wonoh, the Democratic Party candidate for Seoul mayor, stated at a press conference at the National Assembly on the 13th, "Together with the 25 district mayor candidates for Seoul, we will pursue a temporary measure to reduce the increase in property taxes this year caused by rising publicly announced property values."

View original imageCandidate Jung explained, "The targets are citizens who are single-homeowners, above a certain age, and have no business or employment income. The goal is to ease the property tax burden for retired generations who have lived in the same home all their lives, not for multi-homeowners with speculative intentions." He added, "We will reasonably review the age requirement by referring to the current comprehensive real estate tax deduction standard for seniors, which is age 60 and above."
On the morning of the same day, Candidate Jung held a 'Seoul-Chungbuk Mutual Cooperation Agreement Ceremony' with Shin Yonghan, the Democratic Party candidate for Chungbuk governor, at Seoul Plaza in Jung-gu, Seoul. Jung said, "Key issues to be discussed include addressing the housing problems of students from both regions, securing affordable and safe food, and strategies to cope with the declining resident population."

The plan includes providing step-by-step practical training and connecting experts to help middle-aged and older small business owners who are relatively less familiar with digital tools. It also includes supporting up to 3 million won for digital transformation costs such as social networking service (SNS) advertising and setting up online shopping malls. Candidate Oh stated, "It is the city’s role to create an environment where small business owners can open their doors brightly tomorrow without worrying about having to close."
