Although Gevorgyan did not place in the top six at the 2021 Chopin Competition, she received strong praise at the time as an “already accomplished musician,” leaving a lasting impression. In 2020, she was selected as a scholarship student personally chosen by Evgeny Kissin at the Ruhr Piano Festival, drawing early attention. Since then, she has performed on major stages worldwide, including the Verbier Festival, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, and Mariinsky Orchestra.

This recital program features works that Gevorgyan has performed at major overseas venues during the 2025–2026 season, including the Berlin Konzerthaus and Elbphilharmonie.

The concert will open with César Franck’s “Prelude, Chorale and Fugue.” It will then showcase grand scale and delicate expressiveness through Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Etudes-tableaux.” In the second half, Gevorgyan will display brilliant technique and a dramatic musical world with Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” (arranged by Mikhail Pletnev) and two pieces from Franz Liszt’s “Années de pèlerinage, Deuxième année: Italie” – “Sposalizio” and “Après une lecture de Dante.”

The Seoul Arts Center will present a total of three performances in this year's “World Star Series – Piano Special.” Following Gevorgyan, recitals by John O’Conor on June 24 and Alexander Gadjiev on September 30 will take place.
