This declaration was promoted in line with the intent of the Personal Information Protection Act and the government's policy to prevent charter fraud. The five companies agreed that, as the significance of personal data protection in auction information services grows, a responsible industry-wide response is required.

Going forward, these five companies plan to restrict general users from viewing original files of documents such as the details of sale, property status reports, appraisal reports, certified copies of registration, and resident confirmation certificates for properties whose auction procedures have concluded. In addition, personal names of individuals such as owners, debtors, and tenants exposed in auction case information will be de-identified to further enhance personal data protection.

Kang Eun, CEO of Jiji Auction, stated, "The public nature and convenience of auction information are important, but personal data protection must also be taken into account," adding, "We will continue our efforts to create a healthy distribution environment for auction information while protecting personal data."
